After a long wait of several months, Netflix ultimately announced that the celebrity reality show Young, Famous & African would be returning for a second season.
Young, Famous & African is a popular African reality series that premiered on Netflix in March 2022.
It follows the lives of a group of young people, celebrities and rich ‘media’ people, most of them living in Johannesburg, South Africa.
On Tuesday Netlfix announced that the second season has been completed and it is only a matter of time before it starts to be watched on television.
The second season of the reality series is expected to land on Netflix on Friday, May 19, 2023. The total number of episodes is currently unknown, but we can probably expect seven more episodes like the first season.
“Bring the champaaaagne darling, there’s some new faces to toast to! Season 2 of Young, Famous & African is coming to your screens on 19 May, exclusively on Netflix. #YoungFamousAfrican,” Netflix wrote.
The returning performers are Andile Ncube, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, Nadia Nakai, Naked DJ, Zari Hassan, Khanyi Mbau, Swanky Jerry, Kayleigh Schwark, Diamond Platnumz, and 2Baba.
However, the second season will see new faces and looks including:
Bonang Matheba – Award-winning television presenter and actress from South Africa.
Fantana – Afro-Dancehall musician of Ghanaian and American descent.
Luis Munana – Former Big Brother Africa contestant and now a TV producer, writer, and creative director.
Sebabatso Mothibi – Model and socialite.
Rosette Ncwana – Rosette is a supermodel and actress.
