Jamari Thomas aka Nerdboi Mar is a rapper from Sacramento California. Due to family issues, a significant part of his time was spent in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
It’s was during this time that he found his love for music as earlier as the age of 10, starting out as a singer before branching into rapping and making it a career.
The young artist is enthusiastic and very hard working and is always putting efforts into shaping his music and perfecting his craft with every project out, getting much better and better.
His rapping style is partly influenced by the East Coast hip hop since he spent some time there, still, his versatility is notable and his modern rap is a mixture of both coasts. Even after his return to California at age 16 he still took music seriously, catching the attention of Black Market Records music label who approached him for a deal but he was not ready to get into the affiliation at that time feeling like his music still had alot to be worked on.
Knowledge is gifted to people in different ways, Nerdboi Mar is one of those geniuses who will remind of you Tupac, Martin Luther, Malcolm X among other spokesmen. His ability to convey messages to people is way too inspiring and mind-taking, he has built a unique persona making him stand out.
The rapper has stayed determined and focused with his goals each dawn, drawing more attention to his music.
Coming back to Black Market Records was the best choice he’s ever made, signing a record deal with the label in the year 2021 releasing an album under it. It’s this album that has made him a household name in the game.
His debut album talked about his life story while encompassing his resilience and showing how he’s overcome obstacles in his life around music. The music he creates brings joy and positivity, it’s way too inspiring and relatable.
