Nana Owiti and King Kaka have been together for 12 years even though they are not officially married.
King Kaka proposed to Nana on November 30, 2018, when he was launching his fifth studio album, ‘Eastlando Royalty’.
“I said Yes! Wait.. I said Yes a loooong ass time ago. I am so happy and 8yrs on still in love with my man. Now, I need to rant…. I was gonna let this one slide because that’s what I normally do,” Nana wrote in part after the proposal in 2018.
Fast forward to November 2022, Nana reflected on her 12-year marriage to King Kaka in a post on social media.
She shared a family photo with her husband and three children and went on to reveal why her marriage had stood the test of time despite enduring several challenges.
“This was just not a goal but a dream. I dreamt of this and I prayed for it. I’m beyond blessed to experience it 🥹. Many a times, people will point out how good we have it..Others will ask how we did it..but verily verify I say unto you…this is just an end product.
“Don’t focus on that. It’s been pure work behind the scenes. It’s been blood,sweat and maaaaany tears. It’s been loads and loads of prayers but that you probably won’t see. As a generation, let’s not focus much about the end product. Let’s walk into partnerships knowing it’s gonna take a lot. Let’s not be quick to run away at the first sign of a rumble strip on the road..It’s indeed a road with so many signs. Let’s not give up too soon ,” Nana wrote.
