Mwanaisha Chidzuga was among over 100 employees who were retrenched by Mediamax Network Limited after being deemed redundant by the media house.
Chidzuga took to social media on October 31st 2019 to bid her fans goodbye after she was retrenched by K24. The celebrated journalist said her work at K24 was a part time job for her.
“For me, K24 TV was part-time. I am a full-time caterer and I own three restaurants. K24 was a hobby and I used to work like 12 hours the whole month. That was a side hustle, I have my main hustle and that is where my focus is. I am opening a new restaurant soon before the end of the year,” said Chidzuga.

Chidzuga has since landed new TV job barely a month after being fired from K24. On Sunday November 17th she took to social media to announce that she will be back on the screen sooner than expected.
Chidzuga however didn’t divulge more details about which TV station has hired her. Nevertheless she said that her new show dubbed “Dada2Dada Uncensored” will be airing on TV soon.
