Mwaitege explained that he opted to make public appearance to personally address his death hoax.

The singer added that he had been killed before on social media but noted that this time round he was really traumatized by reports of his death.

“Nilitaka kujitokeza hadharani nizungumzie habari hizo za uwongo. Niliwahi ‘kuuawa’ kwenye mitandao ya kijamii mara kadhaa, lakini safari hii ilinishtua sana. Kwa kawaida huwa napuuza lakini kwa hili nilitaka. kuja kusafisha hewa.” (I’m here to talk about the fake news surrounding my death,” Mwaitege stated. “I’ve been ‘killed’ on social media several times, but this time it really shocked me. I usually ignore such rumors, but I felt it was necessary to clear the air this time),” Mwaitege said.

The singer emphasized that the spread of misinformation not only affects him personally but also leaves his fans uncertain about his well-being.

“Kama unavyoniona niko hai na ni mzima. Si mgonjwa, sikupata ajali, ni habari za uongo tu (As you can see, I’m alive and well. I’m not sick, I didn’t have an accident—it’s just fake news), he affirmed.

Mwaitege urged his followers and the general public to share accurate information to help alleviate unnecessary anxiety and confusion.

“Sijajua ni nani aliyeanzisha hizi habari za uongo (I don’t know who started this fake news),” he added, indicating his desire for accountability.

In an effort to uncover the origins of the malicious rumors, the singer revealed that he has approached local authorities with the intention of determining who spread the false information and how it initially began.

The artist’s statement has been met with relief by his fans and supporters, who can now celebrate his health and continued contributions to the gospel music scene.
