Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has spoken on Prezzo’s candidacy warning that the Kibra constituency by-election will be plagued by all sort of drama.

Prezzo officially joined politics to vie for Kibra constituency seat in 2022 general election on Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya (WDM-K) party ticket.

The controversial rapper was officially unveiled at the party’s headquarter on Tuesday September 10th by Kalonzo Musyoka and other Wiper leaders.

There was however confusion regarding Prezzo’s candidacy after an earlier tweet by Wiper indicated that the rapper would contest the November 7th Kibra by-election.

Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr however stressed that Prezzo will not vie in November 7th Kibra by-election. Speaking during an interview with Jeff Koinange on Citizen TV, Mutula accused Jubilee of brinkmanship for fielding Macdonald Mariga while insisting that Wiper would not engage in such dangerous practice by fielding Prezzo in the by-election.

“The tragedy about Kibera is that this is no longer a by-election of replacing Ken Okoth (rest in peace), this is just about handshake vs no handshake or whatever it is that we are arguing about in the political scene. It’s no longer about Kibera, it’s about brinkmanship so you gonna have all the drama in the world,” said Mutula Kilonzo Jnr.
