Musa Sukwene who is a former Idols winner has finally released his third studio album dubbed ‘Musa’ which he executively produced alone after his long-term producer and friend Robbie Malinga passed on.
Musa had to do everything by himself after having a favorite producer he could work with and through the help of Ntsika from The Soul who wrote two songs on the album while he wrote the remaining eight records on the Musa album.
Musa also did two covers as a tribute to Malinga and the late jazz legend, Hugh Masekela.
Musa has more than once acknowledged the fact that Robbie Malinga made him a better man both as an artiste and as a person. Robbie Malinga used to do pretty much for him like writing him songs, producing for him, the late Legend, Robbie Malinga used to spoon-feed Musa so much so that when Robbie Malinga passed on, he didn’t know where to turn to.
After a beautiful launch last night with the ladies from the #MusaPortraitOfMe campaign, the album finally here. https://t.co/myu3CFO9cq pic.twitter.com/ebKveZKarp

On this album, Musa pushed himself hard enough until he learned how to produce for himself and with his hit record ‘Ngivumele’ off the album, doing well in the charts, it looks like he will do just fine.
I am sure Musa Sukwene would have made Robbie Malinga proud with this project which is his thirst studio album. I have had the privilege of listening to this album and it’s so nice you would listen to one song numerous times before you go to the other song.
On the ‘Musa’ album, the triple album seller has collaborated with Sbo the poet, Mam’ Buthelezi, Puno, Khanyo Maphumulo and even Tsepo Tshola on the ‘Bophelo'(life) record which was written by D. Tumi.
Whatever you do, please make sure you listen to ‘Daughter’ especially ladies it will change the perspective of how black women with low self-esteem look at themselves. They will be changed positively after listening to ‘Daughter’.
