Residents of Mathare village in Muragua are obliviously wearing women panties to act as a facemask without knowing at all.
Residents opened up to Inooro TV saying that they opt to buy the somewhat unorthodox facemasks due to their fairly cheap price of Kshs. 20 which is an affordable price to most of the residents of Mathare village.

Worried and concerned that the masks may not be protecting them from the new coronavirus, the residents have asked the government to supply them with the appropriate masks.
The government had since given a directive of all Kenyans to wear a face mask whenever they are outside their homes and out in public, failure of which you can be prosecuted.

Murang’a County government has since given out free face masks to all of his residents through their Governor, Francis Mwangi wa Iria.
The population of Murang’a County according to a 2019’s unofficial report is 1.057 million, which means each and every other member in the County will get a facemask that is recommended by doctors.
Kenya has confirmed 208 cases of the novel coronavirus(COVID-19) that has seen over 80,000 people die from it globally.
The Ministry of Health has since asked Kenyans to practice social distancing, frequent sanitization and of course wearing facemasks every other time.
