In a move that has left the international community baffled and Ugandan women outraged, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has proposed a new kind of “sin tax”—one targeting the husbands of slender women.

Taking to social media on Thursday, February 19, 2026, the son of President Yoweri Museveni suggested that the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) should begin collecting fines from men who choose to marry what he describes as “nyashless” (bumless) women.

The General, known for his frequent and often unfiltered social media rants, didn’t stop at the fine. He called for a nationwide operation to track down and document women who do not meet his specific physical criteria.

“Personally, I think we should identify all nyashless girls in the country and record them. All those who marry a nyashless woman should pay a fine to URA,” Muhoozi stated.

The comments have been met with a mixture of mockery and genuine alarm. While Muhoozi often uses humor to engage his “MK Army” followers, human rights groups say the rhetoric is part of a worrying pattern of demeaning women in the public sphere.

This is not the first time the General has focused his attention on the anatomy of Ugandan women.

In late 2025, he sparked a similar controversy by suggesting that women with “smaller nyash than mine” should be reported to the police.

He later followed up with the “advice” that “bumless women there is hope! Do squats every day!”

Critics argue that the “nyashless tax” is a calculated distraction from more serious issues facing Uganda in 2026, including economic hardship and a crackdown on political opposition.

“This is an abuse of military and political influence,” one activist noted.

“While the country faces real inflation, the First Son is preoccupied with a woman’s body. It is demeaning and reduces women to tax liabilities.”

The Uganda Revenue Authority has yet to comment on whether they intend to include “body shape” in their 2026/27 tax brackets, but the internet has already delivered its verdict: the proposal is a “bottom-tier” idea.
