Mr Seed and Bahati used to be best friends until the events of December 31st, 2018 which turned their friendship into animosity. However, the two seem to have let go of their hostilities.

Bahati had signed Mr Seed to his record label EMB but he quit after they clashed in a beef that was started by their wives Diana Marua and Wairimu Gachuiri alias Nimo.

On December 31st, 2018, Bahati and his EMB entourage held a New Year’s eve party at Thika Stadium dubbed ‘EMB Jesus Party’.

At the end year party in Thika, Mr. Seed’s wife Nimo wanted to make an extra shilling by selling coffee and tea to revelers.

However, Bahati’s wife Diana Marua wasn’t for the idea and when Nimo defied her she called the police on Mr Seed’s wife who was very pregnant at the time.

Gospel singer Ringtone claimed that the disagreement started after Diana learned of Nimo’s idea and became jealous of it and wanted to do the business herself.

According to this narrative, Nimo refused to back off, insisting she is the one who conceived the idea. It’s at this point that the police were called to stop her and possibly kick her out.

Three years after they fell out, Mr Seed and Bahati seem to have ceased all hostilities as the former came out to publicly declare his support for the former’s political quest.

Bahati is vying for Mathare parliamentary seat on the Jubilee party’s ticket and Mr Seed who was also brought up in the slum has decided to support him.

“@bahatikenya… I will not talk about our growth because No One doesn’t know about our struggles growing up. We experienced what poverty tasted like. We ate and drunk poverty but what kept us going was the little hope that one day we will make it.

“Nilizaliwa Huruma” isn’t just a line to a song to make a good hook but a testament of how we loved our home Huruma in Mathare. It was all we had, a place to call home. I remember us sleeping down (literally) you shared with me your vision for the people and how when you get blessed you will like to bless others. You are not a Politician, but a leader. I pray the People of Mathare get to know how your intentions for them are pure. I SUPPORT YOU MY BROTHER #BAHATI4MATHARE #MPMATHARE2022,” Mr Seed wrote on social media.

Bahati expressed gratitude to Mr Seed for supporting his political quest.

“I appreciate and Love You my Brother ❤ Thank You for this. It’s Time to Make all those Dreams that seemed impossible to Our Society Come True 🙏,” Bahati wrote.
