Musician Mr Seed has delivered a blistering rebuke to social media trolls who have been targeting the young children of the late Betty Bayo, labeling the bullies as “wicked” and “heartless.”

In a raw and emotional address to the press, the singer expressed his disbelief that grown adults would hide behind keyboards to mock Sky, 13, and Danny Victor, 7.

The children were left orphaned following the tragic passing of their mother on November 10, 2025—a loss that has gripped the nation.

“I don’t understand how a grown person hides behind a keyboard to start talking ill about a child,” Mr Seed fumed.

“Anyone in those comments doing that, you are a very wicked person.”

The Lovi Lovi hitmaker revealed that his anger stems from personal trauma, disclosing that his own child has previously been subjected to similar online vitriol.

“This is just a kid; they don’t know anything. My son has been there before. It doesn’t sit right with me because I am a parent, and I know the emotional scars this leaves,” he explained.

Mr Seed questioned the mental health of individuals who find pleasure in critiquing minors, especially those who have just suffered the ultimate tragedy of losing a parent.

Addressing the specific vulnerability of the siblings, the singer reminded the public that a mother is the primary shield for any child, and with Betty Bayo gone, the children are now exposed to the world’s harshest elements.

“If you are mentally stable, you should be sending messages of encouragement,” he urged.

“A mother plays a huge part in their lives, and now she is gone. Then you, with your mind, decide to talk about a 13-year-old and a 7-year-old? It’s unacceptable.”

The singer’s intervention comes amid growing concerns over the lack of child protection on digital platforms in East Africa.

Betty Bayo’s death had already sparked an outpouring of grief, but the subsequent “keyboard cowardice” directed at her children has ignited a fresh wave of public outrage.

Mr Seed concluded his message with a plea for the “silent majority” to speak up and shield the youngsters, insisting that children should never be the collateral damage of adult conflicts or social media engagement.

“These children need protection. They need to grow up in a safer environment, not one where they are attacked for simply existing after losing their mother,” he stated.
