Now topping the charts is a song by Khaligraph Jones and Sarkodie that has over One and a half million hits on YouTube inside his debuting week.
The song ‘Wavy’ has been trending top not only in Kenya but across the African region making headlines in other countries with even Americans themselves reacting to the collaboration and cosigning both artistes on the record.
The song trended in Ghana on YouTube and enabled Khaligraph Jones to trend on Twitter as well.
The hit record was produced by Motif Di Don from Nairobi, Kenya.

When you listen to the ear-catching melodious hip-hop beats of ‘Wavy’, you can truly attest to the level of professional creativity and the work put in by both parties to come up with such a big song.

“Working with Khaligraph is always fun and challenging of course because of the high standards he has worked so hard to set for himself and the industry in general.
So when I heard Sarkodie was gonna be on the song too, that psyched me more… you know we had to do our very best to represent Kenya and Africa to the World” – Said Motif Di Don.
Of course, Motif is not new when it comes to making both national and regional hits.
Most Kenyans will relate his work, for instance, he was the man behind the production of ‘Figa remix’ by Ethic Entertainment featuring Konshenz in 2019.
That same year and in 2020, he was credited to have produced over 20 top chatting songs.
Some of these songs include ‘Zungushiwa’ by Shay Diva together with Ssaru, ‘Pandemik’ by Ochungulo Family, ‘Hao’ by Khaligraph featuring Masauti, ‘Kalipso’ by Tanasha Donna featuring Khaligraph just to mention a few.
Let’s not forget the viral song he did in 2020 dubbed ‘Get it’ where he worked with upcoming artists to give them a platform to get noticed.
His working relationship with Khaligraph Jones stretches way back from 2014 when he first produced ‘M-mbesha’ for him.
He continued working with the OG on various projects over the years that followed leading up to The ‘TESTIMONY 1990’ debut studio album on which he is credited to have produced 5 songs.
The songs are ‘Blessings’, ‘Gwalla’ ft Ycee, ‘Super Woman’ featuring Mr Eazi, ‘Don’t know’ featuring KO, and Complicated ft RIA.
Motif Di Don is also instrumental to many artists’ careers.
Masauti is notably one of the successful artists who received support and production from the record producer to become the celebrated artiste he is today.

Motif worked on the bangers that helped kick start Masauti’s career and make him even popular in Kenya and Tanzania.
Some of the earlier songs he produced include ‘Nurulain’ in 2017, ‘Kiboko’ in 2019, ‘ipepete’ in 2019 and ‘dondosha’ ft Lavalava in the same year.
Other artists he has worked with include Otile Brown, Qritiqal, Rayvanny, Ssaru, Nadia Mukami, Sailors, Nameless, Bien of Sauti Sol, Tanasha Donna just to mention a few.
Motif is currently working on new projects to be released this 2021.
