Musician Peter Mwangi aka Miracle Baby’s hospital bill has surged to Ksh1.6 million after he underwent a third surgery.
Carol Katrue, the musician’s partner, came out to appeal for financial assistance from Kenyans to clear the daunting medical hospital bill.
Katrue in a recent social media post shared Miracle Bbay’s plight, revealing money was needed to clear the bill so that the Gengetone-turned- Mugithi musician could be discharged from hospital.
“Guys, we are appealing for funds to pay the bill… Peter will be discharged tomorrow, and the hospital bill is 1.6m now,” she stated.
The appeal comes after Miracle Baby underwent his third surgery in a relatively short period, a testament to the severity of his health challenges.
Miracle Baby has been in the hospital since January 16, 2024, when he was rushed for medical attention after his intestines ruptured.
A fundraiser was held on Wednesday night January 24, 2024, for Miracle Baby after his hospital bill soared to Ksh1 million.
Carol Katrue explained Miracle Baby’s health journey to the fans, revealing that the surgery was successful in addressing complications in his lower abdomen.
Miracle Baby’s baby mama noted the singer’s condition deteriorated after his intestines ruptured.
“On Wednesday last week, his stomach was swollen, he couldn’t eat, he couldn’t go to the toilet. He went for an emergency surgery. They found intestines zimepasuka, zikamwaga choo kwa tumbo. Tumbo ikasaifishwa. So they stitched him up, then found the wound was leaking something,” Katrue said.
“Medics removed the stitches, inserted valves to suck out the pus as the infection was bad. He has been on oxygen but not stabilized. We have just been here; he will be on the machine for one week,” she added.
