A multi-storey building under construction has collapsed near PCEA Church at Seasons area in Kasarani.
Unfortunately, construction workers were trapped in the wreckage.
There have been five injuries reported. Search and rescue efforts are under way.
Some Kasarani locals said that there were cracks and other evidence of building weakness that were making the building vulnerable and a danger zone.
The Disaster Response Battalion is assisting in the rescue exercise.
A six-story building fell on September 20, 2022, killing at least five people in Kirigiti, which is on the outskirts of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
Building collapses can be caused by inadequate structural design, poor adherence to requirements, poor quality control, improper construction techniques, failed foundations and many others including corrupt inspection officers.

To build such a huge project costs millions and the owners have already lost their investment and time used until it’s collapse today.
