Mex Cortez is acknowledged as one of the rap talents in Hip Hop music in Africa.

The rapper who comes from Tanzania has for the longest time been putting his country on the map, proving to be amongst the youngest successful rappers in this era of HipHop music.

His level of versatility is unmatchable and his bars, rhyme scheme, and metaphors in the lyrics is GOAT levels. With his debut album dubbed ‘Monsoon Winds’ out he’s set to now conquer the world at large and attain that international music niche.

In it, he gently holds our hands and takes us back to his Sri Lankan roots, but also beats on his chest to remind us how much of an impact he has made in the East African HipHop music scene.
