Police have ended their investigations into celebrated rally driver Maxine Wahome’s case.
She is being investigated in connection with the death of her lover, renowned rally driver Asad Khan, which sadly happened after the couple fell out with each other in December 2022.
Police reportedly told Maxine on Thursday, “Let’s meet in court January 12, 2023,” after she had diligently appeared for weeks as directed to help with the investigations.
Maxine is free on a KSh.100,000 cash bail.
She escorted detectives to their previous city apartment last Friday for “screening of the premises and collection of forensic evidence”.
Police recovered two phones from Asad’s bedroom at the Preston Court Apartment in Kileleshwa Estate, as well as a shoe and fragments of a broken glass window from the house’s balcony, for forensic testing at the Government Chemistry.
Maxine was reportedly taken to their former home by a relative.
Only Maxine, lawyer Kimathi, a deceased relative, and a number of police detectives accessed the residence where they resided with the late Asad Khan known famously as Kalulu.
Asad was critically injured in an altercation with his lover on December 12, 2022, at their Kileleshwa apartment.
