Marion Naipei, the woman at the center of a viral explicit video scandal, has officially accepted salvation at Pastor Victor Kanyari’s church.

The self-proclaimed prophet introduced her as his “new sweetheart” and “girl,” claiming he is rescuing her from public shaming.

On Sunday, January 25, 2026, Naipei took to the pulpit at Pastor Victor Kanyari’s Salvation and Healing Ministry to announce her “total transformation.”

Clad in church attire, the woman whose private moments in a Nairobi club were leaked to millions just weeks ago revealed that she has accepted Jesus and officially joined Kanyari’s flock.

“I wasn’t saved before, but I’ve been prayed for and I’ve accepted the Lord,” Naipei told the cheering congregation. “From today, I will be a member of this church.”

The service took an even more sensational turn when Pastor Kanyari introduced Naipei with affectionate nicknames that raised eyebrows across the digital landscape.

“I found my new sweetheart in town, and she is here, my girl, my girl,” Kanyari boasted, referring to Naipei as his “best friend” and praising her for her “confidence” in the face of national ridicule.

Addressing critics who suggested he was interested in Naipei for “the wrong reasons,” Kanyari insisted that his mission was purely about compassion.

He revealed that his Personal Assistant had shown him the video, prompting him to “rescue” her from her darkest moment.

The “prophet” backed his words with cash, gifting Naipei Ksh50,000 during a mid-week service on January 21, 2026, to help her get back on her feet.

Naipei was reportedly evicted and disowned by her family following the scandal.

“I told you I would bless you. I know you’ll never be down again,” Kanyari told her, jokingly adding that while he is a celebrity for his past “seed” scandals, she is now a “celebrity of a different kind.”

Naipei’s move to the church comes just days after Gender CS Hanna Wendot Cheptumo issued a stern statement urging the public to stop circulating the video to avoid “additional harm.”

While many have hailed Kanyari for his “act of mercy,” others are questioning if this is a strategic move to turn “notoriety into gold.”

Naipei, however, remains focused on her new path. “It was a mistake and not something I wanted,” she said of the video.

With her “new sweetheart” by her side, the woman who was nearly broken by the internet is now aiming to be one of the “maceleb wa kesho”.
