Marcus Wi is one versatile rapper to look out for and his latest single ‘Must Rise’ is a testament

Marcus Wi is one rapper that can fuse any type of genre and make it work with rap and hip hop seamlessly and ‘Must Rise’ which is somewhat reggae but he managed to twist it around to give it a hip hop feeling and his flow is automatic.

Marcu Wi is currently working on his upcoming LP dubbed ‘The Underdogg Must Rise’ which is scheduled to drop on June 15th this year.

The Song represents a start of something new. A fresh beginning. I like to think of it as an uplifting track. For anybody that’s Moving from an underdog position to a higher ground in terms of self belief & self confidence. It’s heavy hitting in the production with The blend between reggae instruments, the Bob Marley sample with the hip hop drums & bass which makes it catchy & new to the ear. Overall from the feedback I’ve gotten it’s a celebratory track that gives out an uplifting vibe to anybody that hears it.” Speaking of his latest single ‘Must Rise’ Marcus Wi opened up about the single.

Marcus Wi is certainly a person of interest that these whack rappers should be afraid of and he is such an artiste fans should rally behind  because in about a while he is going to change the industry just as Mbithi is gradually doing with his own craft.
