Singer Millicent Jepkorir aka Marakwet Daughter of the famed ‘Mali Safi Chito’ hit song insists she cannot do collabos with Kenyan musicians.

Speaking during an interview with a local publisher, Marakwet Daughter opened up about her music career revealing that she has no role model for her career musically speaking.

The musician noted that she entirely depends on God for her success.

The ‘Mali Safi Chito’ hitmaker further stated that she cannot do music collaborations because God has her back and He will not leave her ashamed.

(Please forgive me musicians because I don’t have a role model. My aim is for God to manifest Himself through me. I prayed to God to make himself known through me and not shame Himself. Anything to do with role models is hard for me which is the reason why I can’t collaborate with Kenyan musicians. My heart of not okay with that),” she said.

Marakwet Daughter shot to instant fame when she released her song ‘Mali Safi Chito’ last year.

The song not only permeated the air around entertainment joints but also became the favourite wedding song of 2023.
