Manzi wa Kibera paid a visit to the grave of Samuel Nzuki, days after his burial, to honor his memory by placing flowers at the site.
However, her presence at the gravesite comes amidst controversy surrounding the circumstances of Nzuki’s burial and Manzi’s absence during the funeral proceedings.
In a candid conversation with YouTubers, Manzi wa Kibera expressed her sadness at being sidelined in the burial plans, citing issues with her manager as the reason for her absence.
She revealed that she had initially been involved in the arrangements but had to opt out due to conflicts with her management, who were in communication with Nzuki’s family.
Manzi wa Kibera expressed her surprise at the suddenness of Nzuki’s burial, stating that she had expected it to take place over the weekend or by Monday at the latest.
“Mzae hata tuseme hakuzikwa, Mzae aliibwa mortuary. Walisneak out na body yake wakakuja wakamzika because within an hour everything was done. I am not happy with the way Nzukio has been buried in secrecy. There was nothing wrong, we hadn’t refused to pay the mortuary bills but why did they still him form the mortuary and buried him in an hour?” she remarked.
She learned about the burial through her cousin and expressed her dissatisfaction with the secrecy surrounding the event.
In a revealing video, Manzi wa Kibera’s estranged manager, Chali wa Kibera, disclosed that neither Manzi nor himself were invited to the funeral.
He explained that the family preferred a private ceremony without media presence, leading to their exclusion from the proceedings.
Chali wa Kibera clarified that they respected the family’s wishes and would find their own time to visit the grave. He emphasized that there was an agreement with the family regarding this matter.
Earlier, Manzi wa Kibera addressed rumors about her relationship with Nzuki, stating that it was purely for content purposes. She dispelled notions of Nzuki’s wealth, revealing that he financially supported her and even paid his own rent.
