Makua Mutua is one person who is happy that President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally fired the PSCU director, Dennis Itumbi.

President Uhuru Kenyatta through the Public Service Commission fired Dennis Itumbi after disbanding the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit which was headed by Dennis Itumbi.

Reasons, why the President decided to disband the unit, is still not clear but netizen sleuths are alleging one reason might be because last year, Dennis Itumbi was accused of authoring a fake letter over Deputy President William Ruto’s assassination plot.

The fake letter situation landed him in police custody for a week with the case still ongoing in court.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has numerous times gone on record urging all civil servants to not talk about 2022 politics but instead be keen on giving Kenyans the best service they were mandated to do by the government.

Dennis Itumbi, on the other hand, has been going against that directive from the President using his social media pages to blow the horn for Deputy President William Ruto.

Dennis Itumbi has since changed his Twitter profile to read “Pig Farmer” after his official government post was stripped down following the PSCU(Presidential Strategic Communication Unit) getting disbanded officially.

I guess Dennis Itumbi’s current job is that of a Pig Farmer which as numerous research has proven, it’s a very lucrative business in the country.

One of the key people in Kenya’s politics to take notice of Dennis Itumbi’s situation was none other than the revered Professor Makau Mutua.

The professor studied Law at Harvard Law School, University of Dar es Salaam, and the University of Nairobi is also a keen observer of Kenyan politics.

Makau Mutua took to social media to celebrate Dennis Itumbi’s downfall and even called out a celebration with champagne to all democracy advocates in the country.

“I don’t ordinarily CELEBRATE the misfortunes of others.” he said, “But the “beheading” today of Dennis Itumbi from the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit calls on all democracy lovers to raise a glass of champagne”
