major win! Petra gets nominated for the best female in East Africa

Petra who is now a household rapper from Kenya who has fans all over Africa not only Kenya since he released a collaborative single ‘Rider’ with Khaligraph Jones a few months back because that song broke boundaries hands down.

Petra went on to release a song dubbed ‘I Got That’ which featured yet another talented artiste with angelic vocals, Victoria Kimani that was received well in the music industry at large and just showed how much talented Kenyan women are today.

The song ‘I Got That’ went on to give Petra a nomination at the coveted Afrima Awards for the Best Female in Eastern Africa making her the only rapper in the list to get nominated in that category.

Other artistes who were also nominated were Betty G from Ethiopia, Vibe from Rwanda, Sheebah Sasha VYBZ from Uganda, Rash, Sandra Nankoma from Uganda, Irene Namatovu from Uganda and Maua Sama from Tanzania.
