“No one is to blame for my condition” Magix Enga shares struggles with addiction despite relocation

Magix Enga, a renowned local producer and artiste, has recently opened up about his ongoing battle with addiction, revealing that he continues to face significant challenges.

Despite the support from friends who helped him distance himself from alcohol and relocate to Eldoret to focus on his music production, Enga’s struggle is far from over.

Through a candid post on his Facebook page, Magix Enga detailed his difficult journey, expressing that his fight against alcoholism remains fraught with obstacles.

He recounted a distressing incident where his health suddenly deteriorated while he was preparing to shoot a music video, leading to severe symptoms including coughing up blood.

“I tried to be happy today while trying to shoot a music video, but the day has gone badly. I’m coughing up blood. Stay safe. I can’t blame someone; it’s alcohol. I drink a lot. God will help me,” Enga wrote, acknowledging his excessive alcohol consumption and expressing hope for divine intervention.

Despite these personal challenges, Magix Enga credited his wife for her unwavering support during these trying times.

In a heartfelt message, he expressed gratitude for her steadfast presence and love, highlighting the importance of having someone to confide in.

“I can say my wife is the best. God bless you. Sometimes when you are really sick, you need someone to talk to. And mine, amen, saved many days. That’s what we call love, for trouble and pleasure. Mama Starboy,” he said, appreciating her role in his recovery journey.

Magix Enga’s struggles with addiction are not new. The producer, who gained fame for his Gengetone music beats, has previously spoken about the impact of alcohol addiction on his life and career.

His transparency about his ongoing battle underscores the complexities of overcoming addiction, even with substantial support.
