Maddox Mkuruweng’s latest offering is finally here and fans cannot seem to get enough of it despite being released a couple of hours ago.
Touching on fans in general, they’re somewhat in disbelief and questioning why one of the most revered Gengetone music groups Boondock Gang –which Maddox Mkuruweng is a part of together with ExRay Taniua and Odi Wa Murang’a– isn’t putting out new music, at least not recently. That’s an answer that the trio could confidently answer us, but in due course, not now though.
At the moment, fans are heavily invested in streaming the new studio EP dubbed ‘Black Canvas’ that he recently released officially.

For a minute there, the Gengetone genre in the music industry has been having a void that needed sustenance, Maddox Mkuruweng’s latest studio project gives hope to the genre by bringing forth the genre to the mainstream spotlight once again thanks to the ‘Black Canvas’ studio album.
Maddox Mkuruweng played a big role in reuniting Gengetone artistes on this project as he brought out established and respected and top-ranked artistes like Kidis, Alma, Paka Mkali, Gazlor, and Iman Kenya.
This studio EP was well invested into and thought about, the tracklist is nothing like what we’ve heard this year.

He recently dropped visuals to one of the songs off the EP, ‘Rider’. The song is doing well in terms of numbers on the streaming platforms.
The reception has been overwhelming, since the visuals dropped on YouTube it’s been getting streams and the views are going up each minute with fans coming out to support this young talented artist more and more.
