Louis Otieno’s son Silas Miami has caused some stir on social media after revealing that he isn’t fazed about his ailing mother at all despite her being sick.
Silas Miami who is openly a proud member of the LGBTQI residing currently in South Africa through his Twitter page disclosed that he heard about his mother being sick from a third party rather than from his mother herself.
“I’m told my abusive mother is very unwell. But this information was relayed to me by a third party because she is too proud to reach out herself. Even at death’s door, she refuses to swallow it and apologize – that is what narcissism looks like. Sending thoughts and prayers,” Miami tweeted out.

He says that his mother was very abusive to him when he was growing up and all the things he had to go through because of her can’t allow him to forgive her so easily.
His tweet however as caused a lot of netizens to ask him to forgive his mother for whatever wrong she did to him years ago. He blocked them!
“I have woken up to so many of you telling me to be the bigger person – to forgive – to go to her. I just want to thank those people so much: they’re made the work of blocking them so much easier for me, ” his tweet read.

Silas isn’t only angry with his mother, apparently, he is also not on good terms with his renowned journalist father Louis Otieno whom he says never showed up for them when he was young.
And this is why I’m not really pressed by the “But she’s your mother!” brigade.
Far too many of you are happy to do backflips to protect abusers and their violence as a function of respectability and fear.
Thankfully, I survived that spectre of self-hatred and trauma. https://t.co/8iZuBareAV

Silas Miami who got kicked out of his home when he was 17 years old told netizens that they shouldn’t excuse or forgive their parents that easily because they’re their parents when they’ve been abusive them for no apparent reason/s.
“If you’re a survivor of narcissistic abuse and you’re following the wild happenings over here I need you to know that I see you – your pain is valid. I believe you. And you’re going to be just fine. You deserved better and you owe nothing to those who harmed you. You are loved.” he sent out the tweet.

This isn’t the first time Miami is exposing his parents. He revealed how his parents solicited money from him despite them being openly against his gay relationship.
He was still studying in school in South Africa when his dad, Louis Otieno was sick. He had to fly back home to Kenya soon after receiving the phone call about his dad’s health condition.
