LeBron James’ 18-year-old son Bronny had a brush with death after suffering heart failure.

The teenager suffered a cardiac arrest during a basketball workout at USC on Monday, July 24, 2023.

A James family spokesperson confirmed Tuesday in a statement that Bronny suffered cardiac arrest while practicing the day prior.

“Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU,” a James family spokesperson said at the time.

According to a statement by a James family spokesperson obtained by multiple outlets on Tuesday, Bronny is out of the ICU and in stable condition.

CNN reported Wednesday that Bronny had a cardiac screening several months ago as part of a program for prospective NBA players and the results came back normal.

LeBron James took to Twitter on Thursday to address the serious medical emergency.

The 38-year-old basketballer thanked the countless people who offered his family love and prayers following the news that his son suffered a cardiac arrest.

“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us! #JamesGang👑” the NBA star posted to Twitter on Thursday.

Days after Lebron thanked his fans for support and prayers, his eldest son was seen playing a piano – indicating he was out of danger.

In a video posted by LeBron, Bronny can be seen playing a brief tune in front of his family members. At the end of the video, Bronny gets up with a smiling face.

“Grand rising! God Is Great! Bronny you are amazing! Simple as that! Keep going Young! We’re here right with you every step of the way,” LeBron wrote while sharing the heart-warming clip.

“A man of many talents,” LeBron James can be heard saying in the background while Bronny finishes playing the piano.
