On Friday, December 16, 2022, lawyer Steve Ogolla proposed to his sweetheart Cebbie Koks and uploaded a video of the event.
Ogolla is seen in the video welcoming Cebbie with a bunch of red roses in the lobby of a high-end hotel. He then embraces the lady of the hour, who was dressed elegantly in black.
Ogolla escorts Cebbie to a different part of the property and leads her to a lovely green garden where the words ‘Marry Me’ light up the entire location against a backdrop of a love heart.
Ogolla then gets down on one knee and begs Cebbie, who is already overwhelmed, for her hand in marriage. To erase any ambiguity, she answers YES and nods her head in approval. Amerix would not approve of this, he calls it simping. It’s the woman who should kneel instead, like they do in parts of Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda.
Cebbie later took to social media to praise God for establishing their relationship and to seek for His guidance as they prepare for marriage saying;
“Its Only Him, the Lord, Who searches the hearts and minds of a man, rewarding each one of us according to ours intentions and deeds.”
“He created us ,beautifully and wonderfully and blessed each one of us with a choice and said that,our ears shall hear a word behind us saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left, he goes ahead of you and it’s the way.”
“When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen” Isaiah 60: 22″
“It’s never too late to begin again. ” Lord , protect us,go ahead of us and scatter the darkness or evil planted on our ways. Before I was born ,you already established your plans on my path, my your will be done.”
