Larry Madowo has been recognized to be among the most influential Africans for the year 2020. It’s the second time the BBC anchor receives such recognition.
New African Magazine named Madowo among 100 most influential young Africans in their Africa youth awards in 2019.
The magazine has since named the popular BBC anchor among top 100 most influential Africans of 2020.

Larry featured on the list alongside world’s third richest person Elon Musk. The Tesla CEO was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1971 to a Canadian mother and a South African father.
The 49-year-old tech billionaire currently holds three citizenships; South African, Canadian and American.
Popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy is among other notable persons to be including in the 2020 list of most influential Africans.
