A Nigerian luxury hair entrepreneur exposed Vera Sidika for allegedly requesting a free KSH 226,000 wig in exchange for free exposure while filming The Real Housewives of Nairobi.
Vera slid into the DM with intention of getting a free wig, ChiemeRoyals Luxury Wigs wasn’t having any of it.
According to Instagram stories posted by ChiemeRoyals Luxury Wigs, Vera Sidika slid in their DM and wrote this; “I’m now filming the real housewives of Nairobi, baby, so please bring me units. When the show becomes viral and I style your hair and handle the promotion, you’ll do well in Kenya.”
So, in response, the proprietor gave Vera the cost of the wig she was considering.
“Cost $1,849 Unit name: Butterfly unit”
The hair business owner had misinterpreted her, says Vera Sidika.
Instagram stories seen by the Biggest Kaka team, have a display photo similar to that of Vera Sidika as seen below.
ChiemeRoyals Luxury Wigs, also decided to address the problem concerning influencers exploiting small businesses with their ‘non-valuable’ enormous following.
“So all my customers that spend on their hairs are stup!d? I don’t really get carried away but no of followers you have as an influencer!! I love me those with no followers. These people are secret billionaires. My business is a very small one, we can’t be sharing wigs now. A real brand supporter buys your product! I mean they pay for it to support your brand. They will never want to take advantage of you no matter what! That’s real integrity”
