Kwame Rīgīi has taken the Kenyan music to the next level and he is as versatile as most talented musicians in the world are, he can comfortable sing in Swahili, English as perfectly as he can sing in Gikuyu.

Kwame who is a songwriter, singer and poet who is out to redefine and restore Kenyan music by setting a trend that aims at preserving local languages through music is known for writing one of the phenomenal love songs to ever come from Kenya ‘Aki Wewe’ as released yet another hit song in ‘Munoti’.

They say music has a way of speaking with anyone citizen of the globe regardless whether you can understand the language used in the record or not, if the symphony, the melody and the vocals and the beats are in synch, you can jam to any song, that’s the logical thinking why most Kenyans and the entire Africa jams to Lingala music even though they don’t understand the words and all.

That being said, Kwame Rīgīi continues to release good, quality music in his native language, Gikuyu and his latest hit record dubbed ‘Munoti’ is a priceless record which champions traditional “everything” at least in the side of the Gikuyus and all the same, anyone can listen to this song even though you are not a Gikuyu like myself, you still get that subtle vibe that moves you to the song maybe conscious or unconsciously.

That’s the power of good music, and what it can do and Kwame Rīgīi’s latest song does that, it moves anyone who gets to listen to it.
