I hope government institutions were as thorough as they are with dealing with politicians as they are with the common folk. The way in which the law deals with small misdemeanors is very encouraging but up to a point. If they could do that with our cheating politicians it would be perfect.
Anywho! So this thick from Mt. Kenya University found out the hard way that “huku si highschool” is very true when she was bursted with a mwakenya. Ms Awino was found cheating while seating for her Diplomatic and Consular Law examination on May 28,2017.
The infraction was noticed when barely three minutes into the exam she took out her handkerchief to blow her nose and the offending papers fell out. She quickly chewed and swallowed the piece of paper as the invigilator Joyce Nderitu confronted her to find out what she had put in her. mouth. Damn! Ni kubaya!
Unable to do so, she was asked to leave the exam hall and to fill out a document to explain the mess. Then after this, she was summoned to a disciplinary hearing on June 4, 2017. The hearing resulted in her being suspended for one semester and that she would have to repeat the fourth year first semester upon readmission in Septemeber 2017.
As you would expect a law student would do, she hurriedly filed an appeal to the high court. Pap! But the judge was having none of that racket. He actually agreed with the University and gave a scathing review of Ms. Awino’s character. So what is the lesson here? If you cheat don’t get caught! I kid. If you must cheat be a politician, even if there is evidence you will never face the consequences of your actions. I kid. Simple, just don’t cheat. Hahaha!
