King Kaka has by now in so many occasion talk about how he came up in the industry and how he had to fight(metaphorically) his way up to be a part of the upper echelon in the music industry today and today he just opened up about meeting up the person(Mandela) who organized his first gig at Maseno where he was paid KES. 20,000 but he was grateful regardless.
King Kaka was ecstatic for meeting Mandela who has since become the Head of IT at KAA and
“Well I believe in journeys, I believe in partnerships and I believe. This guy called Mandela gave me my 1st Maseno Uni gig he paid me Kshs 20,000 at that time hiyo ilikuwa Kama 500,000 (to me ) nikifika my phone ilikuwa imeisha moto and since I wasn’t that popular nilitembea through the crowd and asked for him, he used to call Me King.”
“Just met him Leo and the 1st thing he says is “nilikushow utakuwa ule msee”, Asante for believing. He is now Head of I.T at KAA. May God bless him and everyone else who believes.” King Kaka wrote after meeting Mandela and reminisced of how he believed in him when he wasn’t that much of a superstar the way he is today.
