Killer Kau finally laid to rest, watch funeral proceedings

Killer Kau’s death alongside his best of friends, Mpura, and others was involved in a grisly road accident that sadly claimed their lives.

They were on their way to an event where they were booked to perform.

The Amapiano hitmaker Killer Kau along with four other artistes were involved in a head-on collision last weekend on their way to an event that was taking place in Rustenburg, North West.

Killer Kau was 23 years old by the time of his passing.

Killer Kau whose real name is Sakhile Makhubu Hlatshwayo is set to be laid to rest today, his funeral service is already underway and you can stream it in real-time.

Sakhile Makhubu Hlatshwayo known as “Killer Kau” was born on the 5th of July 1998 in Soweto by Muyekeni Makhubu and the late Nomaswazi Zelda Hlatshwayo.

Sakhile went to Entandweni Primary School, proceeded to Usindiso Higher Primary School, then went to Bhukulani Secondary School.

He then proceeded to Lavela High School where he passed his matric very well.

Sakhile had a talent for singing and dancing from his childhood and he became one of the best dancers.

In the year 2017 his video went viral where he sang ‘Tholukuthi’ and that is where Killer Kau rose to fame. He then continued to produce hit songs like ‘Lebanta’, ‘Kataliya” and ‘Amaneighbor’.

His ‘Amaneighbour” was also nominated last week as the best amapiano collaboration on SAAMAPIOANO Awards. He was once involved in a group known as Material Culture and became a Skhothane, for which he became part of a reality show which was broadcasted on Mzansi Wethu.

On the 9th of August, he was involved in a car accident on his way to perform in Rustenburg and unfortunately he did not make it.

He will be missed for his singing, dance moves, humanity and loudness.He is survived by his father, grandmother, stepmother, three sisters, three brothers and niece and nephew.
