Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero has this Friday declared his candidature to capture the country’s top seat come 2022 on ODM ticket.
Kidero now joins governors Ali Hassan Joho and Wycliffe Ambeta Oparanya, who have in the past expressed their interests to face off with William Ruto the polls.
“It is just a matter of time. When I am done with my two terms as stipulated in the law, the only seat remaining is that of the country’s top leadership” he was quoted in the Standard.
The governor who is currently facing opposition from a number of candidates who are keen on sending him home urged Kenyans to elect leaders of integrity.
“It is evident that many leaders want positions, but unfortunately some are out just to have them for their own benefit,” said Kidero.
Kidero was speaking during Westlands Women Roundtable talks.
