Khaligraph Jones takes the “play Kenyan music debate” to Nigeria radio station

Khaligraph Jones is sticking to his guns to his support of the Kenyan media to support the Kenyan content all through and he even talked all about it to the Soundcity radio in Lagos, Nigeria.

Khaligraph Jones reiterated that he is not fighting for himself on this fight but for the next generation of artistes who would enjoy the reforms that would see their music getting played locally since he is already set to do without radio and television since his music now cuts across all genres and now crosses the borders without trying so hard to.

“… the way you people are putting on your artistes it’s not the same way we doing it, cause Nigerian music getting more airplay in my country than our own local content” the Award winning Kenyan rapper said in part explaining to Soundcity radio station in Lagos, Nigeria.

Khaligraph Jones went on to explain why he started the debate that everybody is talking about in the country, he added: “so, basically the main point I was trying to put across is that we need to do the same, if in any case you want to see Kenyan music elevate to that position where it’s supposed to be, then we need to embrace our own. And, I have been pushing for this campaign of course it brought about a lot of mixed reactions and it’s a whole debate but am the OG and I always try to stand for what is right, I just make my moves man, take it or leave it, that’s just how it’s going to be” he added.
