Khaligraph Jones has since become a force to reckon with when it comes to Kenyan rap and pretty much almost every person in the country knows who he is, at least those people who have internet access, watch television and/or listen to radio. The rapper has been representing Kenya to the fullest and even swore to take the Kenyan rap music to the global market this year, he even dubbed himself ‘Mr. International’ to stress how serious he is with the mentioned commitment.
It wasn’t like this back in the day for the Kayole-born and bred rapper who has since become an household name. The rapper confessed on his previous post on Instagram that his talent has never left him one bit and but his perception of life was changed drastically for the better once he started hanging out with fellow artiste, Kristoff, because he started chilling with the celebrities and the who is who in the music industry. There’s some time not long ago, Kristoff and Khaligraph Jones were inseparable.
” Talented Skillful rappers/Artists need to break out of their circles to become successful, Affiliate yourself with people that will help you amplify your talent and potential, people who will make you push yourself to the limit, Kristoff was The 1st artist I ever saw drive himself when I invited Him to our studio in Umoja in 2012 and when we started hanging out together my perspective of life Changed, I was still the Best rapper then but hanging out with Him gave me an opportunity to meet Celebrities like P-unit, Collo , became friends with STL, I even went To Subsahara studios that Had signed Camp mulla and etc,” Khaligraph Jones said in part on his lengthy social media post which expressed his gratitude in more than once to Kristoff Mluhya wa Busia for changing his life for the better.
“… sometimes You have to go out there and Meet people who will motivate you to become something greater” ~ Khaligraph Jones
Khaligraph Jones went further to iterate that for you to be able to be successful in whatever you choose to do, you have to push yourself away from your comfort zone even if it means leaving behind your crew if they are not at least sharing the same vision as you.
He went on to say that it’s only by leaving your safe nest it’s when you will get to meet people who will motivate you to become someone greater even more than you anticipated, you might even surprise yourself by surpassing your plateau.
“Those Experiences changed my Life, while am not saying it’s good to Leave your Gang Gang Behind but sometimes You have to go out there and Meet people who will motivate you to become something greater, Usikae mtaa sana, Tembea Uku Nje ujue watu wanafikiria aje, Watu wanaplan Kununua Gari Gani, ama kufanya investment gani, Hakuna kitu Mbaya Kama Kuwa the Best Rapper na Una recycle Jeans mbili na kiatu pair moja, I was there and that shit was Painful???? ” he added on Instagram as he shared a photo of Kristoff which accompanied the lengthy post.
