Khaligraph Jones explains what he meant by taking over South African rap scene

4 mins read

Khaligraph Jones rather made a name for himself in the hip hop scene and am not talking in the East African region since he has already surpassed that plateau, am talking about the African hip hop scene.

The award-winning rapper did not only call out all Nigerian rappers claiming that he is the best rapper in Nigeria when he was dissing a Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez who called him out ever since he won his first-ever Soundcity Award earlier on this year.

Khaligraph Jones went in on everybody on his ‘Best Rapper in Nigeria’ diss record, no casualties, and whatnot.

Khaligraph Jones said that he was going for South African rappers as well who have been holding down the hip hop shine for years and they are the most vocal rappers in the continent.

Khaligraph Jones went in on everybody, the entire African region on his diss track ‘Best Rapper in Nigeria’ to Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez. He even called out South African rappers, of course not by specific name/s but he went on record to say that he’s coming for the South as well. Photo credit: Instagram/kahligraph_jones

South Africa having established rappers like Kwesta, Riky Rick, Okmalumkoolkat, Cassper Nyovest, Nadia Nakai, Nasty C, Da L.E.S, K.O, YoungstaCPT, Zoocci Coke Dope, BigStar Johnson, AKA, Yanga Chief, Gemini Major, Flvme, Shane Eagle, Frank Casino, Stogie T, Emtee, A-Reece, and so many more, it was expected and calculated for Khaligraph Jones to call the South.

Khaligraph Jones who has worked with YoungstaCPT, Zoocci Coke Dope and BigStar Johnson, both from South Africa was baiting the South and as fate would have it, no one rapper from South Africa clapped back because if anyone, just one rapper from the South would have clapped back, today we would be talking something else but so it’s out there, one rapper that I can put my money on in clapping back on Khaligraph Jones is Stogie T, do your homework and you will understand why he’s best fitted to clap back on Khaligraph Jones.

Having a sitdown with one Martin Kimathi Khaligraph Jones said that he wasn’t talking from a bitter place calling out South Africa and that he wasn’t going after South Africa rappers alone per se but he was trying to say that rappers like himself{Khaligraph Jones] are going for the South in terms of competition since South Africans as been vocal as rappers representing African hip hop.

“… so, that’s what I said, I am coming down, I am coming to take over the South as well. and when I say “me” I didn’t only mean Khaligraph Jones but East Africa in general, we are about to take over [expletive].” he said.

Khaligraph Jones also without mentioning names said that most rappers from South Africa didn’t want to work with him even after following due diligence for whatever reasons.
