For a few months, we Kenyans have known that a plastic ban was supposed to come into place. But our response to this apparent ban on one of the most used items in the country was met with the seriousness it deserved.
Kenyans were well-prepared for the hullabaloo that the ban would cause. Nothing to see here. Alls well, move along. The photographs illustrate the seriousness with which Kenyans took the ban.
To those who say Kenyans were caught flat-footed, I disagree. I think flat-footed was rather kind. How can a populace approaching 50 million not be ready for a plastic ban. These photos are proof that Kenyans had contingencies( options?) in place. Even if they are not the most pleasing they would suffice nonetheless.

There you have it. A few of the creative and at the same time ridiculous ways Kenyans dealt with the ban. Thoughts?
