Kagwe Mungai joined another brand ambassador, Joy Kendi who is an influencer, YouTuber, fashionista who was once featured on the Wendy Williams show back in 2015 to be the second brand ambassador for CÎROC later on this year.
The beauty about Kagwe Mungai is the fact that he is not just a record producer and a vocalist, he can also rap and he’s good at it while on it. He is certainly one of the most multi talented musicians in the country and now he is the CÎROC together with Joy Kendi.
King Kaka – Remy Martin
King Kaka who is the founder and CEO for the conglomerate Kaka Empire has had a very interesting year by releasing an album which features not one but two Americans respected entertainers on his fifth album, ‘Eastlando Royalty’, he worked with Tracy Morgan and Talib Kweli making him the first African rapper to ever work with Tracy Morgan.
King Kaka recently got announced as the Remy Martin brand ambassador adding up to his other title of being an UNICEF Kenya advocate.
The surprising thing about this endorsement is the fact the King Kaka doesn’t even drink but he was chosen to be the brand ambassador for the international brand, Remy Martin. That should tell you a whole lot about the King, for now though, let the King be King.
Octopizzo – Smirnoff
Octopizzo by far is the only Kenyan who got to meet so many international celebrities than any other Kenyan celebrity by meeting up with Drogba, Chris Tucker just to mention a few.
Apart from releasing his fourth studio album, ‘Next Year’ Octopizzo also landed himself a lucrative deal where he was unveiled as the face and brand ambassador of international acclaimed vodka owned and produced by the British company Diageo, Smirnoff.
The details behind his deal with Smirnoff wasn’t revealed in terms of monetary figures but all we know is that it is lucrative enough for the Kibera born and bred rapper.
Khaligraph Jones – Monster energy drink
Actually Khaligraph Jones’ lucrative deal came a few days back when he announced that he finally was the face and the brand ambassador for the international energy drink, Monster energy drink which the brand’s representative were happy to have him on board representing their brand.
Khaligraph Jones has owned the year 2018 with him becoming not only the first Kenyan but the first east African region rapper to be crowned the best rap act from Africa by the annual coveted Afrimma Awards this year, with all his achievements, he has promised 2019 is going to be even more interesting with a lot of win than 2018, we sure can’t wait for that to come to pass as we have come to see everything the OG predict come to pass.
Fena Gitu – Smirnoff, Marini Naturals
Fena Gitu actually deserves a round of applause for being the only female rapper making it on this list for landing herself a lucrative endorsement deal as a brand ambassador.
She’s not only a brand ambassador for one or two brands by three cooperate brands.
Fena Gitu who is by far the hottest rapper in the country today is the brand ambassador for Marini Naturals, Denri Africa and joined Octopizzo as the face and brand ambassador for Smirnoff Kenya.
It’s clear the Kenyan cooperate world is beginning to embrace our very own rappers and the hip hop and rap community as a serious business entity that should be taken seriously, especially in business which is a very good thing for the culture.
