It is with a heavy heart I confirm the death of one of the Kenyan pioneering artistes under the Calif records’ stable, Laety who was nothing short of as talented as she was beautiful both physically and her voice. The sad news of her passing got many people by surprise as she just released her new single ‘Alamo‘ which is Luo word meaning ‘I Pray’. the song was produced by Kevin provoke.

“I believe the World should be an equal place for everyone, Thats my Dream to see the Old & young, Rich & Poor, all races, tribes, creeds, Live in togetherness.I see the world through Music, Every instrument has a role, big or small, they all come together in harmony and give food to the soul.So I choose to live my Dream #FreeWorld #Colouringmyworld #LAMO” Laety once said this powerful message

She had worked with numerous artistes like Alpha Msanii, Kano Boyz and Flexx. She once appeared as a video vixen in Flexx’s ‘Number Yako’.

“Let us stand tall …Laugh loud, like it was the only noise we understood,… Love with our souls because it is what lives.., and in our hearts bleed colours of Joy, like the rainbow showing every emotion,…not forgetting that With the same breath as the animals, We can Praise God….Today I begin a new year and I pray to be a Light in someone’s life, after all that is the only worthy possession I can leave behind……..” yet another Laety’s powerful post.

Her passing has been a blow her fans, family and friends.

Rest in peace Laety.

I love everybody who loves everybody, somebody got to love somebody at some point.

fluently, do you.
