Kenyan artistes that don’t perform at political rallies

Gospel singer Bahati is paying the ultimate price of not getting called to perform at shows after he un-sat the Head of State’s chair, which made many event organizers afraid of inviting him for shows and/or events as he might just seat on their C.E.O’s chair or embarrass them not willingly of course but still embarrass them. No event organizers are willing to take that chance with Bahati at the moment. His last publicly known performance was at another political rally in Kiambu hosted by governor William Kabogo, he has not had another gig ever since.

As an artiste, one should not be able to pick sides in any political scenery and when you do, it needs to be between yourself like any other Kenyan. Gospel artiste, Rufftone who has been riding on his song ‘Mungu Baba’ for far too long on political rallies has been known for eating from both sides. I know at the end of the day it is all about the money but at least you ought not to loose your way and  energy on politics rather than your music. If a musician wants to be a politician, let him or her make it clear the way Ringtone and Jaguar has made it.

These are the artistes that have never performed at any government and/or political rally for reasons that is be known to them and their principles. That is why they have managed to remain relevant for a very long time in the Kenyan music industry because they haven’t picked any political sides, at least not publicly.

I love everybody who loves everybody, somebody got to love somebody at some point.
Music is something that comes natural to everybody and it's a language that everybody can understand, I understand it and that's why I speak it
fluently, do you.
