Kenya Power, for years now, has enjoyed a great monopoly in the power market and has, over the years, levied steep charges to Kenyans seeking to access power in their homes, institutions, and organizations.

But now, President Uhuru Kenyatta has released an order directing for the uncompromisable lowering of electricity prices in Kenya within the next four months.

The tough economic times have seen the President move with speed to check the dent that Kenyans have been feeling while buying electricity in the Country.

On March 29, President Kenyatta constituted a task force to review the power purchase agreements after it was discovered that independent power producers sold electricity to Kenya Power at highly inflated prices.

The President has now directed Energy CS Charles Keter to ensure the immediate implementation of all the recommendations of the Taskforce by December 25, 2021.

As Kenyans celebrate the good news, a top electrical company, Kenden Limited, is now moving with speed to connect even more Kenyans with electricity and light up more homes, streets, and alleys.

Kenden Limited is an electrical sales, supplies and services company that is fast becoming one of the most reliable, efficient and effective electrical firms across Kenya.

Since 2017, Kenden Limited has been dedicated to servicing Kenyans with power, lighting homes and streets, keeping large institutions running and basically connecting millions with power and keeping the economy alive.

Their vast experience in building installations, contracting, electrical maintenance and installations has seen Kenden Limited leave a mark across the entire Kenyan electrical space.

Five years later, Kenden Limited now boasts of an impressive clientele that spreads from top schools to companies, major factories, churches and other major Government institutions.

“We also provide a variety of electrical installation options and our expert team of electrician’s works to the highest level of standards. Also providing our customers with regular preventive maintenance services, series of checks and tests within a property and also making recommendations to avoid any unnecessary downtime, ” Kennedy Omondi, the Kenden CEO, says.

” Our list of services also include installation and maintenance of generators, domestic electric installation, industrial electric installations and we also do street light installations among many other related works,” he adds.

Through their work, Kenden has installed more than just electricity to homes and malls – they’ve also moved to the streets and lit up major city streets through the installation of street lights and lamps.

So far, Kenden Limited is proud to have worked with some of the country’s biggest and largest brands and companies that include Safaricom, Oilibya, Coffee Inn, Coca Cola, BambaNet among others.

In 2018, the Government, in conjunction with the World Bank, launched an ambitious Ksh. 5 Billion campaign to connect the entire country with power by 2022 and with Kenden Limited on board, the plan seems to be right on its way to fruition.
