Like mother like son… Late journalist Catherine Kasavuli died aged 60 having given birth to only one child – a son called Martin Kasavuli.
Martin also has only one child – he revealed this while engaging with netizens in an interactive Questions and Answers (Q&A) session on Instagram.
“You have kids?” A fan asked Martin.
To which he replied;
“Most asked question again,Yeah I have one child, that’s it.”
Martin also revealed that he has been working in South Africa but indicated that he will soon return to Kenya. He said that his profession is in the field of journalism like his mother where he works as a trainer for someone who wants to broadcast programs on television, PR as well as a business promotion officer.
The young man explained why he has never appeared on television like his mother and said that he loves his life behind the camera, although he really likes working with the media but away from the camera.
Many wondered how his life had developed since his mother’s death, given that he was the only one born without siblings and the only close person he knew was his mother.
Martin answered and said that he has about 12 close friends who have given him a lot of help during this time when his mother’s tragedy is still fresh in his head.
“To be honest, I have about 12 friends that I trust at any time. And they have been standing by me all the time since we found out that my mother is suffering from cancer. So that’s it, I have good and reliable friends for support. Some of them have been coming here to the house in the village and have been here for a month now,” Martin said.
