Karen Nyamu explains why she did not wreck Samidoh’s marriage contrary to popular belief

Karen Nyamu has absolved herself from the blame of wrecking Edday Nderitu’s marriage by eloping with her husband Samidoh.

The mother of three explained why she did not wreck Samidoh’s marriage contrary to popular belief while responding to comments on her Facebook post.

Nyamu on Saturday took to Facebook to cheer women who took to the streets to protest the increasing cases of femicide in Kenya.

“Today i watched as Kenyan women came together to make the statement enough is enough against femicide. Your voice has been heard. You have done your part, Dont stop! We in parliament must also do our part

“As a legislator my job in February when we resume will be to ensure, by an amendment of the law, that femicide be distinctly recognised as a crime and provide for perpetrators to receive heavier sentences.
The government will also be required to collect data on women, and train women health and law officers to proactively identify and protect women,” Karen Nyamu wrote.

In a quick rejoinder, a critic Phylis Kitito told Karen Nyamu that she was an enemy of women claiming she is a home wrecker.

Phylis further taunted Karen Nyamu as she suggested that the UDA-nominated senator should propose a law to punish home wreckers.

“What about punishing home breakers,” Phylis Kitito.

Reacting to Phylis’ suggestion, Karen Nyamu explained that she was not a home wrecker, insisting that Kenya’s law permits polygamy.

“Phylis Kirito illiteracy ndio shida kidogo because polygamy is legal in Kenya. There is nothing called home breaking,” Karen Nyamu fired back.
