Kapella has been in the music industry for a while and from that time he has been in the industry he has been able to transform himself not only to an experienced rapper who is also a photographer, scriptwriter and a videographer who knows his way around his craft.

The rapper has just released a short film that tries to change up the society that we are living in using creative thinking and a record.

The short film ideally tells a story of a young Kenyan “it” who tries to get over her boyfriend who is not only emotionally abusive but also physically abusive by going out with her bestfriend and things doesn’t work out the way she thought it would be. It’s quite an interesting film I might add.

“this short film is a representation of a lost generation in terms of relationship choices. We’re stuck in toxic relationships but we can’t free ourselves cause the dating landscape has drastically changed. So you either suffer in a relationship or remain forever alone” Kapella said explaining the inspiration and ideology behind the Mbleina (sheng word for stupid) short film.

He, later on, iterate that he is happy and content in a relationship but he usually sees what other people around him go through with their other purported boyfriends/girlfriends and almost always this usually is the truth in some cases.

Someone would rather be in an abusive relationship than be alone because they are not used to being alone and these are the things that people don’t want to address in the society, there’s nobody out there to tell these youth that it’s never that serious but thanks to ‘Mbleina’ now there’s a voice
