Kanye West to open shop in Kenya months after Rihanna launched Fenty in Nairobi

Legendary American rapper-turned-business mogul Kanye West has revealed plans to open flagship stores, shelters and hotels across the globe with Nairobi being among the cities he is targeting to set up presence.

Kanye on September 2, 2022, named cities acr0ss the world to which he plans to expand his business franchise to.

Some of the cities in which he plans to open his flagship stores include Atalanta, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Paris, London, Seoul, Tokyo, Miami, Houston, San Francisco, Shanghai, Accra and Nairobi.

 

Kanye’s plan to expand his franchise in Kenya comes just months after Rnb singer-cum-businesswomen Rihanna launched Fenty breauty products in Nairobi.

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line debuted in Nairobi on May 26, 2022, with a grand reveal and launch at The Social House in Lavington.

The singer’s brand is available in selected African countries including Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Namibia, Ghana, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Fenty Beauty became one of the first makeup brands to offer over 40 (now 50) foundation shades.

Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty in September 2017, and it has yet to stop creating waves within the beauty industry.

The Barbadian singer has an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion/Ksh197 billion thanks to her 50% stake in cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty.

She is also the first billionaire in her home country of Barbados, which honored her as a national hero.
