Bongo movie actress Frida Kajala Masanja has revealed that she was not happy when she found out her daughter Paula was in a relationship with musician Raymond Mwakyusa aka Rayvanny.
Speaking in an interview with a local radio station, Kajala made it clear that she also found out that Paula and Rayvanny were dating through social media like all other netizens.
“Paula didn’t even have the strength to tell me. It happened that we saw it on the internet. She was 18. In my mind I knew Paula didn’t have a boyfriend,” she said.
Despite not supporting their relationship, Kajala made it clear that she was not involved in their breakup.
However, she admitted that she tried hard to advise the 20-year-old model against dating Rayvanny but her advice fell on deaf ears as Paula did not listen to her.
“I tried very hard to tell her that it was not right but someone goes and does the opposite, you just have to stop. If you tell her not to date that person she says okay but she still continues. I tried to stop her,” she said.
In addition, Kajala said that after failing to convince Paula not to date Rayvanny, she advised her how to develop herself in the relationship.
“I told her because she is still young to calm down, she still has a life ahead of her. He should not do things out of anger,” she said.
Kajala said she was happy when her daughter’s relationship with Rayvanny hit rock bottom because she did not see marriage there.
“I was happy because I feel there is no future there. Ray already has his woman and has a child with her. I don’t think he would leave his family because of Paula, I don’t know if he would return to his woman,” she said.
The actress confirmed that her daughter is not yet old enough to take care of herself and revealed that she still lives with her.
When asked if Paula is really dating another Bongo artist, Omary Mwanga aka Marioo, she said “I really don’t know. She tells me she is not in a relationship but we see the pictures.”
