Ruto has remained loyal supporting President Uhuru’s quest for presidential re-run in 2017 in hope that his boss will marshal his supporters in Central Kenya to vote for him when he vies for the Presidency in 2022.
But Kiambu governor was quick to remind him he could suffer the same fate like Raila when he said ‘Kibaki Tosha’ in 2003.
Raila pushed Kibaki to presidency in hope that he would return the favor in 2008 when he vied for the Presidency only to be betrayed later.
Ruto is likely to walk into that trap and Kabogo reminded him history had a tendency of repeating itself in Kenya.
Kabogo’s words were not taken lightly by Jubilee fanatics who said the Kiambu governor didn’t represent the wish and will of Central Kenya.
Kabogo however reiterated his words saying the Mt. Kenya votes were not a guarantee for the DP in 2022.
“Ruto and I are friends and as such I am entitled to tell him the truth. The conversation for 2022 presidential elections should begin now.” Unapologetic Kabogo was quoted as saying.
Kabogo revealed Mt. Kenya votes could be split by different politicians from the region who also harbor presidential ambitions for 2022.
