Justin Timberlake was arraigned on a count of driving while intoxicated and subsequently released from police custody, according to his attorney.

The singer was apprehended around 12:37 a.m. on Tuesday morning after police observed him operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition in Sag Harbor.

Timberlake was driving a BMW when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and drifted out of his lane, per a statement from the Sag Harbor Police Department.

An officer initiated a traffic stop, during which Timberlake admitted to having one martini and following his friends home, according to court records.

Police noted Timberlake’s bloodshot and glassy eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.

A Sag Harbor Village Police Department officer reported that Timberlake was unable to divide attention, had slowed speech, and was unsteady afoot.

He performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests, the officer added. Timberlake refused a chemical test three times, initially stating, “No, I’m not doing a chemical test.”

Following the failed sobriety tests, Timberlake was arrested and held overnight for arraignment. He was also cited for running a stop sign and failing to maintain his lane.

Timberlake was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 26, 2024 which is expected to be a virtual appearance, according to the Suffolk County district attorney’s office.

Currently on tour for his latest album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” Timberlake is slated to perform next in Chicago at the United Center on Friday.

Despite the incident, Timberlake has been actively sharing personal moments on social media. Over the weekend, he posted a heartfelt tribute to his two sons on Instagram for Father’s Day.

Timberlake, 43, married producer and actor Jessica Biel in 2012. The couple has two sons, Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3.
