Ugandan musician Juliana Kanyomozi has faced rumors about the identity of the baby’s father since giving birth to her second child.
Her second child Taj, a boy, was born in 2020.
Juliana talked about how she and her partner were happy about Taj’s birth. She however did not mention who he is and to this day she has never revealed his identity.
This has always left room for speculation, with netizens pointing to President Yoweri Museveni’s son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba as the father of the child.
Juliana expressed her displeasure with the rumours about her son’s paternity when she appeared on the 2nd season of Tusker Malt Talks in Uganda.
The mother of one claimed that she only met Muhoozi in person for the first time recently.
“I can’t even explain how I felt. I thought it was a great honor for me and for the First Son of the nation. I had never met him physically in my life…I met him recently in Soroti. So I thought it was bad,” Juliana said.
“People run with what can bring likes, shares, and attention. They will make things just to be trendy, but what they don’t realize is that those things affect people in their personal lives.. I have a family; my son has a good father and he reads those things,” she added.
Juliana stressed that she prefers a private life, adding that she has been with her secret partner for 7 years.
“I’m in a very happy place right now and I don’t feel like sharing it publicly, but they (the fans) refuse to understand,” she said.
The birth of Juliana’s son Taj came six years after she lost his other son Keron Raphael Kabugo in 2014. Keron died in a Nairobi hospital after suffering from asthma for a long time.
Juliana feared she would never be able to become a mother again after several unsuccessful attempts.
“When it comes to parenting, I always leave it to God, people used to ask me when will you have another child, and I used to tell them that I leave it to God. When he decides to have another child, then I will have another child and that’s it,” the singer said on YouTube.
